Painting Sunset at Tanah Lot, Bali

Hi,
It has been a long time since I posted any painting because I was away for vacation to Bali, Indonesia. The trip was of course enjoyable and i had a different learning experience about arts, particularly paintings. To my surprise I could see there a whole village doing paintings that too in different genres like landscapes, abstract, traditional balinese art and the interesting thing is that the paintings all show their culture and tradition. These people sell their art at their own traditional houses changed into art galleries, there are other art forms like wood carving, stone statues, silversmith, glass art etc and each village is associated with a particular art................. no wonder each and everything there reflects their artistic excellence!

Tanah Lot Sunset, Bali, 18" X  24", 18" X 14", Acrylic on Canvas
SOLD

This painting is about the famous sunset view of  a temple at Tanah Lot in Bali. The view was indeed spectacular, but I think I have captured to some extent. Nothing can match nature's glorious colors!

The flaws in any painting can be seen only with other fresh pair of eyes. Your critics and comments about the painting are most welcome!!
